Metal Dracky

Welcome to my blog! I’m Metal Dracky, and I collect diecast figures / statues of video game characters. Metal collectibles are quite rare in the video game world, and I enjoy finding rare and obscure items.

My journey began years ago with the Dragon Quest Metallic Monsters Gallery, an ongoing series of diecast monsters from the Dragon Quest games. I have a full collection of those and I plan on sharing a complete guide to collecting them soon.

While collecting the DQ Metallic Monsters, I realized that I love the look and feel of metal collectables and decided to seek out metal figures from other video games. Unfortunately, I quickly learned that there aren’t many companies making metal merchandise anymore – 99.9% of everything is plastic.

So instead, I turned to the past. That’s when I discovered vintage metal collectibles for many of my favorite games, including Mario, Pokemon, Kirby and more.
Now, after years of patiently completing various collections, I’ve written several guides which you can find below.

I hope you find the information here helpful. None of my content is monetized (in fact, I’m spending money to keep this website up) and my only intent is to share my knowledge and passion for these awesome collectables with other collectors.
